Tiffany looks eager to throw the opening pitch for The Los Angeles Dodgers! Her expressions show her excitement for once again visiting her birthplace and home, California. Her beautiful smiling face isn’t the only aspect that made her stand out from the crowd, Tiffany’s elegant yet playful attire earned her this week’s trophy for Outfit of the Week!
Veering away from her usual girly and feminine outfits, Tiffany chose to wear a more ‘sporty’ ensemble (most likely to fit a baseball theme) to wear at Incheon Airport. She wears a matching finely tailored Sandro tweed jacket to keep her warm throughout the long flight, and shorts that show off her perfectly toned slender legs. The colors of the articles of clothing features grays, pale blues, and black & white color block elements for more depth in the outfit. Tiffany pairs it with a simple heathered shirt and two-toned Chanel sneakers from the brand’s latest collection, she also accessorizes with her Mulberry bag to duet with the black hints and tones of the outfit.
Tiffany features her smooth and glowing skin with minimal make-up. She lets her dark toned locks fall on her shoulders which highlight her cascading loose curls, this mixes the feel of outfit as it contrasts it’s ‘sporty’ vibe. To add her usual feminine touch she decorates her nails with intricate nail art, a perfect way to showcase some sparkle for when she waves to her fans.
Tiffany impresses us once again with this new and fresh ensemble. Good luck to her in throwing the opening pitch, and congratulations!
“It’s been exactly 10 years this year.”
She became a student under stylist Han Hyeyeon when she was barely in her 20s. She said she felt like crying, walking along the streets where her first photoshoot, which she shot carrying around a pack of clothes larger than herself, was plastered in Myeongdong. And after 10 years, she has become an “executive director”, with six assistants. Also, the celebrity she fastens buttons for with her own hands is Girls’ Generation.
“People usually work as an assistant for three to four years, or there are some who don’t go independent becoming an executive director, and become a team leader. Compared to others, I went independent really early. I was lucky.” The opportunity she had to go from a trainee to a stylist, making a full-fledged business card and making her name known, was while she worked on the advertising shoot for the makeup brand, “Etude”. At that time, the official model was being changed from Song Hyegyo to Go Ara, and that was when she got her chance. She showed off all the skills she learned through various brand advertisements to her heart’s content. Even after the model was changed to Park Shinye, she was in charge of the brand’s face for three years.
“Good things happened all at once. Jung Hyeyoung, who I was in charge of at the time, was becoming known as a charity angel, causing advertisements to burst in. And Shinhye’s management requested that I become an exclusive stylist, and I worked with them since ‘You’re Beautiful’.” Without measuring it with anything else, the seven years of time she spent only looking towards her job replied to her with the most valuable “Girls’ Generation”. After meeting the girls in 2011 through “The Boys”, she showed off her characteristic bright and happy-feeling styling skills, showing off a vintage, painting-like teaser, resulting in her receiving attention every day.
In particular, she also presented Girls’ Generation the “fashionista” look this year. She had the girls, who were the symbols of group outfits, wear vivid jerseys, denim, kitsch, custom jewelry, and other clothes that showed off their own, individual personalities freely. Each member was able to gain an image of a fashion icon. Sooyoung, Jessica, and Seohyun became models for a handbag brand and makeup brands, and their photos, which are released even when they aren’t promoting, gain interest every time.
“Like how people think, ‘neutral colors are classy’, you have to throw away fixed ideas on fashion. There aren’t styles but trends, so the fashion market can’t grow in various directions. And so that’s why I intentionally have Girls’ Generation dress in bright, beautiful clothes. I think that they need to wear it because they are Girls’ Generation.”
To her high school teacher’s instructions of “Find something you do the best, and are fastest at”, she took in clothes that she reformed. The 10 years she lived, only facing forward. She worries because she still wants to do this work for a long time.
“About 12 times a day, I think about how I can do this work longer. (laugh) Because there wasn’t a single time when I was sick of this work.” Also, as she began to gain juniors while working, she started thinking a lot about the treatment of stylists. As feelings of responsibility to take care of her family began to emerge, her thoughts regarding fundamental problems got deeper.
“Just like how there isn’t an easy job in the world, you need to start this work with thoughts of learning. This occupation is also a specialized job. The process of learning and studying on the scene is needed. But there are people who jump into this without any knowledge of these circumstances and are quick to quit after comparing it to friends who work in regular workspaces, so it breaks my heart. It’s not a system of increasing salaries as time goes by, and earning promotions, so I think people are uneasy about it.”

With the conclusion of Girls’ Generation’s 2nd Japan Arena Tour, the girls’ arrived back to Korea last April 22, 2013 with a set of new outfits! To celebrate, two Outfits of the Week have been chosen, those of which are from the eldest (but dorkiest) and youngest member of the group.
Our dorky kid leader Taeyeon was all smiles! She emulated a certain brightness as she walked through the airport. Taeyeon dons a rocker chic inspired look by wearing an oversized acid wash denim jacket, dark grey muscle top, and skinny jeans. She pairs the look with her favorite items such as her Converse Hi-Top Sneakers and BOY Chanel Flap Bag. To finish off the look she puts on a pair of color blocked sunglasses, accessorizes with a dark grey hat and keeps her hair up in a messy high bun.
While maknae Seohyun keeps it purely casual chic. Her look features both mature and youthful pieces such as her Zara blazer (a brand which she likes to wear nowadays) and distressed boyfriend jeans respectively, she wears a celestial print top also from Zara to play with prints. Seohyun wears white oxfords with the look, and accessorizes with a pair of large sunglasses and her white DKNY Heritage Satchel. Seohyun lets her hair down to flow on her shoulders to match the easy going style of the outfit.
Congratulations to Taeyeon and Seohyun!
Review on Casio Baby-G Standard Digital watch as seen on SNSD.
Ever since I knew Girls’ Generation would be modeling them, I am very excited to buy their Casio Baby-G watch. I’m a big fan of watches and I’m very careful on choosing which watch should I buy as I make it an accessory. While my parents and I are choosing which watch should I buy from Baby-G, I decided to get the digital one for a change. I’ve been wearing standard-analog watches, so I wanted to try the digital.
What are the specs for the digital Casio Baby-G watch?
Digital clock
Timer
Daylight Saving Time setter
Alarm clock
Built-in light
Hexagon-shaped container
So I’m going to review the standard-digital one only since that’s the item that I bought from the watch store.
For the advantages of this watch, first of all, it can be worn by both men and women. I’ve seen a lot guys wearing the digital watch especially the watch that Sooyoung’s model. Of course, the guys chose a boyish type color like black and blue. So guys can actually wear something that our girls endorsed. It’s also very easy to read the time because it’s digital. You can also see how many seconds have passed already. There’s also a built-in timer that you can use for Physics laboratory activities and Gym classes. The timer also has this program that you can split-time. It is also water-proof, so you don’t have to worry if it gets wet. One advantage for those who live in the US or Canada can use the daylight saving time setter for summer and winter time. Well, I haven’t tried using that since I live in Asia. There’s a built-in light that you can use at night or when it’s dark. Just press the letter G and the light will turn on. The watch also comes in a cute hexagon tin container.
Drawbacks:
– Don’t choose a white one because the back really gets dirty after you use it and if you have a pretty dusty place, don’t buy a white one. Try buying the black watch or a dark colored watch. You should always place the watch inside the tin case so it won’t be dirty and make sure to clean it with wipes weekly.
– Don’t choose a watch that has a neon background. The digital clock is very hard to see during daylight.
– Don’t use the alarm clock for waking you up in the morning. One time I used it, I actually didn’t hear the alarm. Use the alarm for reminding purposes only when your at work or in school like if you’re going to drink medicine. That would help! And this is my first time using a digital watch that has an alarm on it, I don’t really know how to use it. So better read the manual before using the watch.
All in all, the watch comes in handy all the time especially when you’re a student. Casio Baby-G watches comes in a variety of designs and colors, so make sure to choose a watch that’s comfortable for you and that suits your taste.
