Review: “The Face Shop” Face&it Radiance Dual Veil Concealer

Review on “The Face Shop” Face&it Radiance Dual Veil Concealer as seen with Seohyun.

SNSD’s maknae Seohyun has been deemed the face or endorser of “The Face Shop” cosmetics. Their product Face&it Radiance Dual Veil Concealer features the combination of a liquid concealer (with a sponge tip) and a cream concealer (which is shaped like a lipstick bullet) at the other side.

While I was looking through the store, the sales lady recommend this item for concealing dark circles, an imperfection I have and something I’ve been trying to fix, so I decided to buy it and see how it compares to my other concealer. As I used the product, I took note of the details:

Benefits:

– Both sides conceal very well. I noticed that the liquid concealer works better for dark circles, and the cream concealer works better for redness and blemishes.

– It does not crease on fine lines.

– Feels very lightweight when placed on skin. It makes your face look naturally clear and not like it’s too heavy on make up.

– It contains SPF20, which protects the skin from harmful sunlight and is really good for the eye area.

– The size and shape of the product is very convenient (it can fit in make up bags or small clutches for touch ups).

– It’s a great substitute for foundation! As a college student, I don’t have a lot of time to put on make up, the product conceals everything very well, I usually just put this concealer on different areas of my face, layer it with powder then I’m done. So this product will definitely help people with busy schedules.

Drawbacks:

– It only comes in three shades (picture of shades here). I got shade NB21, which is the second shade. The concealer is made for Asian skin tones (which is mostly fair); as a result, it won’t work well for those with darker skin tones.

– The cream side is a bit fragile. It sometimes feels like it would break off when I swipe it on my face too hard.

Overall, this is a perfect mix of a liquid and cream concealer, it blends very well and it gives the face a brighter and healthier look.

Outfits of the Week

For this week’s outfit of week, there were immense competition as the girls displayed various gorgeous looks in different styles rocking the airport. After rounds of discussion, we decided the winners of this wearête be Tiffany and Sooyoung.

Tiffany was the image of classic beauty with her rose-red lips contrasting against her white complexion, resembling a modern day Snow White. Pairing a Tory Burch white blouse with a pair of jeans and nude heels, this look is simple yet chic. Tiffany had her hair slightly curled making her look modest yet vintage.

With Autumn just around the corner, Sooyoung was styled in a black blazer with plain grey-white t-shirt. Sooyoung grabbed our attention with her stylish Giuseppe Zanotti high-top wedge sneaker heels, which complimented the warm tones of her outfit. She finishes off the look with a Hermes belt and a over-sized shoulder bag.

Seohyun: Hit or Miss?

The subject of this month’s Hit or Miss poll is Seohyun, who was seen wearing a 3.1 Phillip Lim Short Sleeve Contrast Top Dress at the Popular Music Committee Launching Event. The big question that arises from this outfit is: is this dress classy or does it make her look like an old lady?

The appropriate length of this Phillip Lim piece definitely makes Seohyun look mature, which matches her somewhat conservative personality. The simplicity and monotonous color of the dress may seem classy, but these aspects are also responsible for making the dress border on dullness.

The lack of captivating colors and the loose sheer sleeves age her too much, and her plain shoes don’t emphasize her youth either. Another issue in this outfit is the fitting; the dress is not well tailored to Seohyun’s body so she looks slightly bulky and we cannot appreciate the great figure she has.

Overall, it seems like her outfit lacks in different aspects (hairstyle, jewelry, color, etc.). Seohyun will have lots of time when she’s older to wear simple and mature clothes, so why not take advantage of her youth and have more fun with fashion?!

Review on Salvatore Ferragamo Varina Ballerina Flats as seen with Jessica.

Well, I must say that this is my all time favorite- the Salvatore Ferragamo Varina Ballerina Flats.These flats are absolutely amazing for any occasion, they’re suitable for a casual trip to the mall or even a date at a fancy restaurant. I had never been too big a fan of Ferragamo, until these shoes blew my mind (excuse the exaggeration). There are also many designs so you can take a look here.

They’re very comfortable and give great foot support which is necessary in every shoe. Also, these shoes are elegant and classy and can match almost any outfit. Not only that, they are also durable and sturdy as mine have lasted since about a year and a half ago and they still look lovely.

However, like every other shoe out there, these shoes need to be broken in. On the bright side, i think it’s all worth it. Also, these shoes are really quite pricey, but i feel that they are a good investment, considering how long they last.

All in all, I feel that these are a fantastic pair of shoes and i can understand why Jessica would use them. They suit anybody’s style and are versatile. Although they have some drawbacks, i do think that they are still worth it.
