Despite their busy schedules, the ladies of SNSD never cease to turn even their airport travels into their own runways. This week, Taeyeon came away with the winning outfit, with this low-key ensemble.

Starting with her cream colored over-sized sweater, the soon-to-be-birthday girl donned an unusual pair of slim floral pants, no doubt one of the reasons she’s referred to as an “ahjumma” by some. For footwear, unlike some of her fellow members who strut around in heels, flats or fashionable sneakers, Taeyeon opted for some high-top cream colored Converse, matching her similarly colored sweater. Accessory wise, she only donned a plain thick black scarf, forgoing glasses, bags and the like. Her light-blonde hair was left loose and straight, nothing out of the ordinary, though she was seen sporting a bun. Overall, while not striking in any way, it’s minimalist approach did wonders for her, and earned her the nod.

Congrats Taeyeon, for winning Outfit of the Week…from the past week!

For this Outfit of the Week, the choice wasn’t too hard with several of the members staying in Japan, leaving it to be a battle between Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Yuri and Seohyun.

On her way back to Japan from Gimpo though, Jessica waltzed through the airport with an incredible red/beige coat that not only kept her warm, but oozed style and class, and complimented Yuri’s dark overcoat. The rest of her outfit continued the beige and muted tone, with an olive-vest layered over a white shirt, and continued down to some skinny beige pants, ending with a pair of Klein Natural Faux SnakeSkin Lace Up Brogues.

For accessories, an Alexander Wang Rocco Duffle graced her lithe arms. Of course, this is Jessica at the airport, and no outfit would be complete without her sunglasses, this particular pair being Linda Farrow Luxe contrasting her newly lightened hair.

Congrats to Jessica!

Though Jessica’s famous laziness makes her the butt of many jokes, the Ice Princess is no slouch when it comes to fashion, and her numerous fashion spreads and outfits led to her winning Most Viewed for the second year in a row.

This year, we saw Jessica fabulously strut her stuff in spreads for Coming Step as well as Dazed and Confused, always bringing with her an aura of charm and grace. She never seemed to have a misstep style-wise, be it on while strutting the red carpet for their numerous award ceremonies or just briskly walking through an airport terminal on her way to another busy schedule.

In addition to her keen fashion sense, she also never fell victim to the “bad hair days” that plagued members such as Sunny (I’m not even sure what color her hair is at this time of writing) or Hyoyeon (finally got a good Stylist, after having a rocky year with outfits), with her style of choice being loosely curled and its length being characterized as long.

No doubt, it was her ability to excel in areas such as these that led to her personal articles garnering the most views on this site. Congrats to Jessica for her 2nd year with the title!

In 2nd place, the doe-eyed angel Yoona made her presence known with a large amount of views on the site. Though widely known as the designated “visual” of the group, the position is a well-deserved one, as our deer Yoona showed off a mature sense of modeling, notably in Harper’s Bazaar, where she took on a dark, brooding aura that almost seemed to channel “Run Devil Run” in it’s choice of style.

In addition, her various promotional appearances for “Love Rain” as well as her frequent choice as a model/sponsor for products such as Innisfree. Much like Jessica, she also did not encounter any grievous missteps when it came to fashion and hair, which no doubt, led to her also amassing a large amount of views.

Coming into the second week of November, Tiffany has already snagged a winner with her ensemble en route from Incheon to LAX for the SBS Super Concert happening later today just outside of Los Angeles, California.

For her return to her home country, she supported an almost entirely BCBGMAXAZRI branded outfit, with a style reminiscent of “Genie” with it’s militaristic style. Starting from the top, she donned a subdued green military jacket atop an oversized black shirt, a style seen widely today.

Moving down, her legs were glad in skintight leather leggings, accentuating her slim legs, while she balanced herself on a pair of leather platform shoe boots. Accessory wise, a large black leather bag adorned her side, and perhaps most unusual, a cadet hat sat primly on her beautifully straight hair, definitely reminiscent of their “Genie” or even Korean “Mr. Taxi” promotions.

Overall, this Cali girl not only got a homecoming to remember, she took home this weeks Outfit of the Week honors. Congrats Tiffany!

Review: Samsung Galaxy S III

As seen on Taeyeon and Yoona. Available @ Best Buy$199.99

The flagship of Samsung’s Galaxy line-up, the Galaxy S III represents the pinnacle of Samsung engineering(at least until the Note 2 came out), and having sold in excess of 20 million units in less than 100 days, is obviously not a dud when it comesto sales. Yoona and Taeyeon themselves are part of that number, showing that the phone attracted the attention of Girls’ Generation themselves. But just how good IS this device?I’ll be brief: it’s damn good. Why? I’ll explain.

Picking up the phone, you’ll notice one thing: it’s plastic. Not cheap plastic, but plastic nonetheless. Definitely a change from the solid-body that the iPhone 5 currently sports, and different that the polycarbonate that other similarly-priced phones have. Still, the ergonomics are great, and it definitely feels like it was designed to be held for long periods of time. Flipping it over, you’ll notice the beautiful 4.8 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, one of the larger ones out there. While not as sharp as Apple’s Retina display, it’s still very nice, and produces richly saturated colors, though some may find it too saturated for their liking. Other than that, it’s got the standard headphone jack, 3 physical buttons, and a volume rocker.

As for usability, it’s an Android phone, and it does what Android does best: allows users to tinker and change almost whatever they want. With a quad-core(dual-core in the United States) processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, this one of the fastest ones around. Anything you do, from gaming to web browsing to Tweeting happens almost within an instant, and with a larger than normal battery, allows for great battery life for a smartphone, though if you tend to be a constant phone checker, you might notice it draining faster, but still be able to get out a good 6-7 hours before hitting about 20-30% battery life. The Android app store has grown considerably, and while not as large as Apples, definitely offers something for everyone, and many Apple users will be able to find comparable apps to make the transition easier. With an 8-megapixel camera, it delivers great shots, though you’ll want to rely on an actual camera for those tricky night shots, or when you really need clarity. But as a basic snapshot camera, it excels, and also has the ability to record 1080p video, and with 16-64 GB’s of storage internally, and a microSDHC expansion slot, you never need to worry about running out of room for all your media.

So what are the cons? For one thing, it’s big. Not unbearable big, as the small-handed members like Taeyeon and Yoona use it, but for some, may be a bit unwieldy. Also, as I mentioned earlier, the build quality falls a little short, and feels more like a mid-range device, rather than a premium one. The display also isn’t as nice as the iPhone’s, and colors tend to be a have a bluish hue to them. When it comes to usability, Android’s customization is second to none, but some users may not need that much freedom, and it definitely is not as pick-up-and-play as Apple’s. Lastly, Samsung tends to be slow when it comes to updating, so while it’s starting to roll out Android 4.1 Jellybean, the next update could take several months to get ready, and Samsung has a history of forgoing updates at all.

Overall, this is definitely one of the best Android phones around, and if you want a switch from an iPhone, and don’t mind learning a new system, or you love Android and just want something bigger and better(but smaller than the Note 2), the Galaxy S III is the phone for you.

Overall rating: 4.5/5

Outfit of The Week
POSTED IN Articles, Outfit of the Week, Tiffany

This week, the other half of the English speaking team, Tiffany, took home the honors of having the best outfit with this number she donned for the Bean Pole Accessories “Styling Class” event. Up top, she layered a Faith Connexion lace blouse over a yellow oxford, providing a sophisticated school-girl type look that continued to the rest of the outfit.

Around her curvy waist was a burgundy Carven mini skirt, hiked up a bit to showcase her famously slim and milky-white legs. She finished her outfit with a burgundy patent leather Mary Jane platforms, as we all know she can’t be without her heels.

Finally, as this was a a Bean Pole Accessories event, she carried around a sponsored Bean Pole Accessories brown leather shoulder bag, again reminding many of a stylish schoolgirl, punctuated by her lusciously curled hair.

Congrats to Tiffany for making it 2 weeks in a row that the “California Girls” have taken home the prize!
