Rimowa has been an increasingly popular luggage brand among travelers due to it’s classiness and practicality. It has been dubbed as the “new era of luggage” with more and more people being aware of the brand and carrying it’s luggage. It is no doubt that one of our girls, Sunny have been spotted carrying it in the airport as well!
Rimowa offers a variety of luggages, ranging from the ever so light and popular Salsa Air to the classy and retro, Classic Flight. Sunny has been spotted with the Salsa Air, in which this review will be on.
The main advantage and the primary selling point of the Salsa Air would be it’s weight. The luggage is incredibly light, you can mark my words! If you are a person who tends to stuff a lot in your luggage and it is always over weight, the Salsa Air would be a great choice of luggage for you! The cabin luggage weighs in at a mere 1.9kg whereas the largest luggage of the Salsa Air collection weighs 3.6kg. The luggages also come in a variety of colours, besides its sizes. Sunny has been seen with the luggage in Pearl Rose. I have quite a number of the Salsa Air luggages and in different colours as well; 3 in ice blue, 1 in white, and 2 in navy blue.
The luggage is made of polycarbonate which, makes the luggage durable and strong, being nearly indestructible and at the same time, being light. One might worry about the outer shell of the luggage but it is actually quite sturdy and tough. You won’t have to worry about the shell being dented after being thrown around in the cargo. I have never had a problem with the shell of my luggage being dented or any of that sort.The luggage comes with two handles, one on top and one on the side, to make it easier to lift. The luggage is accompanied with eight wheels, two on each edge of the luggage. This makes it very easy to maneuver the luggage as it is on ‘all fours.’
The insides of the luggage are accompanied with nets, one on each side of the luggage, to ensure that all your belongings do not fall out when you open it up. The inside of the luggage is rather spacious, allowing consumers to put whatever they need to in the luggage.
Drawbacks:
As one uses the luggage more and more often, one might find that the rubber edges outlining the zips of the luggage might be worn out. However, this doesn’t hinder anything and can be fixed if the luggage is still under warranty. About half my Salsa Airs have this problem and I’ve gotten it all replaced or fixed. I have also experienced a situation where the the zippers inside the luggage for the nets came off, but it was only one zip and it only happened once. The zip can be easily placed back or if it does pose as a threat, you can send it back to the shop to get it fixed, if it’s still under warranty.
Like all other luggages, it will get dirty easily as it is constantly being thrown in the cargo here and there. To avoid the dirtiness from being seen, avoid buying light colours like white.
Lastly, the price would be a definite major setback for some. For a luggage with a basic design, it is quite expensive. However, in my opinion, the luggage is worth the investment. I have bought 6 Salsa Airs already to this date and have had no major problems with the luggage.
All in all, I believe it is worth the investment to get a Salsa Air for travelling!

A review on MICHAEL Michael Kors’ Selma Satchel as seen with Seohyun.
If you’re a very practical bag addict just like me, you know you’ll appreciate a quality handbag that’s one-tenth the price of a Chanel. Fortunately, MICHAEL Michael Kors makes our pursuit for the perfect affordable bag easier. Described by Purseblog.com as “the best thing going under $400”, MICHAEL Michael Kors’ Selma Satchel made the biggest impression.
The Selma satchel is a medium to large bag that measures 10 inches high, 13 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. The bag consists of top handles, a slim shoulder strap that’s removable, and four feet below to support the bottom of the bag. The interior is lined with MK monogram fabric and pockets for a phone and other stuff. The bag comes in both gold and silver hardware and a wide selection of colors. The Selma also sports the winged sides which are a trend among bags nowadays.
Seohyun was seen carrying this handbag at the airport last April. Hers is in the white with gold hardware while mine is in a vibrant red orange with gold hardware. Up until now, this bag is still one of my go-to bags to carry to school and nights out. I listed a few reasons why I’m still in love with this bag.
First and foremost, the quality is beyond amazing for a bag that’s priced $358. Even though the saffiano leather is not yet comparable to Prada’s saffiano, the texture is still beautiful and you can tell it can withstand mistreatments. My Selma braved through a lot being with me but it’s still standing up like it’s brand new. And something I just want to point out is that the zipper runs very smoothly, which is always a plus.
It can also fit a lot of stuff; and if you’re someone who basically brings your whole room in your bag, you’ll definitely love the Selma. Because the bag is structured, you can organize your things better and be able to look through it without difficulty. The bag is also filled with pockets that are easy to reach into, a latch for your keys, and a zipped compartment to keep valuables like I do.
Lastly, the option to carry it on the crook of your arm or on your shoulders is a thumbs’ up for me! I’m a huge fan of the arm-crook hook but it can be tiring, especially if your bag weighs a ton. With the removable strap, your problem is solved! The bag can go from corporate to casual with just how you carry it.
However, what really sold me is the design of the bag – hands down. Clean and simple, the bag doesn’t even try hard but it stands out. A simple logo on the front speaks so much of the bag’s elegance and its color and shape full of confidence, just what I like my bags to be.
Though I’d love it if this article is all good points about the bag but it won’t be a review without a few setbacks, but trust me, they’re not deal-breakers.
A minor issue I have with the bag is the squeaking of the top handles when in use. I’m not sure if it’s just my bag or the friction between the leathers but it’s not something to worry about. Another is that the wings leave small openings on the sides since the zipper doesn’t cover the whole top of the bag. Just saying, if you’re paranoid with the security of your belongings; though the gap is small enough that people won’t be able to reach into your bag.
My verdict: this bag is a must-have for both bag collectors and people who are in the market for a practical and trendy bag. Winged bags are still flying high and above and it won’t go anywhere anytime soon. So if you’re looking for a winged bag that could bring you to seventh heaven, consider buying the Selma satchel!

Review on the Chanel Boy Bag as seen on Jessica, Yuri, and Taeyeon
Chanel has been an increasingly popular bag choice for the girls as seen during airport appearances. The French label has many known classic designs such as the ‘Classic Flip Bag’ and the ‘Boy Bag.’ and as such, I will be reviewing the latter. If you haven’t purchased a luxury bag yet, this might be the one for you!
The Boy Bag comes in a variety of sizes, small, medium and large. I suggest to you that you should try on the bag first and make sure the size suits your body type so it’s not too big or not too small. I had the chance to try out the bag in medium python skin (there was only two in the whole of UK) but I passed the bag after seeing how big it was on me after I tried it on. The bag also comes in diverse styles and colours. You can have the bag in the original classic leather, or you can have the middle of the bag be in a ‘weaved’ style, you can also have it in different skins like python or stingray. I got mine in beige leather and I highly regretted it because I didn’t do enough research and there were way better and more unique Boy bags out there so as my warning to you, make sure it’s the right colour and right skin you want!
The Boy bag is either made in France or Italy (mine is made in Italy). The bag is made out of lambskin however depending on which Boy you buy, the leather and the skin you chose may be different. A major contributing factor as to why I bought this bag is it’s weight. Compared to my Hermes Birkins and Kellys, the Chanel Boy is literally a feather partly because the interior of the bag is not leather.
The bag itself is very versatile and can be worn in many different ways. For example, you can sling it across your body, or you can just casually sling it around your shoulder. In addition to it’s versatility, this bag can be used for almost any occasion. It can be worn casually to the mall or it can be used to go for formal events (if it’s in size small). To open the bag, you press the two ‘buttons’ on each side of the silver clasp. This can prevent pick pockets who may not realize the discreet way of opening the bag. Another way to prevent pick pockets is to turn the bag the other way round (so that the logo is facing your body).
When you aren’t using the bag, make sure to keep it at an upright position in the dust bag which will come with it. There is a booklet that comes with the bag to show you how to care for the bag correctly.
Drawbacks:
One of the biggest drawbacks about this bag is the interior of it as mentioned previously. For the price I’m paying, I would expect the bag to be fully leather but it is partly my fault as well as I didn’t bother checking beforehand. However this might be a highlight for others as it doesn’t make the bag too heavy.
Another major drawback is that you can’t fit many things inside. i bought the bag in the smallest size and you can only fit so little things inside. A phone, a tiny wallet, and a few small makeup products would fill the bag up completely. I usually don’t even use a wallet whenever I carry this bag. However, this does make the bag very useful for formal and black tie events. Furthermore, I can’t carry this particular bag when I’m wearing jeans. If you bought the bag in a light colour, like mine, try to avoid wearing it with clothes which colour will fade. It will eventually rub onto the bag and the bag will not be in it’s original colour anymore.
In addition to all of that, the price would definitely be a major turnoff. I bought mine for around £2300, but even so, Chanel’s bags are definitely worth investing so if you’re still undecided, I suggest you to grab one quickly before Chanel marks up their price in the next year!
All in all, the boy bag is a very versatile bag and if you’re looking for a luxury bag to invest in, I would recommend this piece just make sure not to cringe at the price!
