Aside from the song itself, fans also look forward to the girls’ new looks every comeback. The 3rd album, “The Boys”, embodied a more mature and chic concept; a definite 180-degree turn from their previous ones. However, the girls played safe and most of them stuck to their old hairstyles and had minor modifications to it. Nevertheless, there will always be one member that risks a new look, leaving fans in awe. And that’s Sunny.

Ever since their debut, Sunny was never seen with ultra short hair. She always had long locks, usually matched with full or side-swept bangs. Moreover, Sunny always has this ongoing role of being the member with the most “aegyo” and pull off her infamous cute facial expressions and gestures. But for their comeback, she had a total makeover and now exudes nothing but fierceness.

A week ago, SM released the 2nd image teaser through their official YouTube channel. Every member had a close-up shot and Sunny was seen with her new hairstyle. She showed off a boyish bob cut, dyed to blonde with black highlights. To make her image more of a rocker chick, her eyes were outlined with heavy eyeliner. Also, just days ago, the official music video teaser was finally revealed and gave us the opportunity to see Sunny with her blonde hair once again.

Because of this drastic change, fans are debating whether it suits her or not. Some found it awkward and strange, while others think she’s rocking it. Personally, it’s a breath of fresh air. It might take time getting used to, but she still carried it well. Even though it was later revealed that she was just wearing a wig, she still might use this style and perform onstage.
