Review on the Canon G11 as seen with Yoona and Seohyun

A step-up from the entry level SD models, the G-series is aimed at the “prosumer” point-and-shoot market, occupied primarily by dSLR users who want a relatively pocket-friendly companion to their main camera as well as enthusiasts who aren’t quite ready to make the jump into dSLR’s but are power users when it comes to point-and-shoots…and at the very least, it caught Yoona’s attention.

With a 5x (28-105mm) zoom and a 10-megapixel larger-than-average sensor, the G11 performs admirably in areas commonly used by everyday consumers, and the ability to shoot RAW format and a full Manual mode allows seasoned photographers(like me!) to harness not-so-average features. I’ve borrowed this camera from a friend several times, and it always gets the job done when it comes to capturing images that leave people breathless. The only cons to this camera are the somewhat bulky-size(how the members use it comfortable, I have no idea), average zoom, and tendency to overexpose images.

4/5 Stars
